Perhaps one of my favorite points in life was when my dad used to play this song loudly when I was little; whenever John Hiatt said “LIFT UP”, my dad would take me or my sister and lift us as high as he could really quickly, throughout the whole song, sometimes two or three times a night. We’d all be so exhausted at the end, but it was so much fun.
